Library error MacBooks 3, 4, 7
complete

Hi Jan, I'm currently using the old MacBooks with the 09-O2 and many are getting the message: Mac OS must repair your library in order to be able to run programs. Admin password required... can I do something about it or will you do that tomorrow? I'm already writing down the numbers of the affected MacBooks.
No. 3,4, 7. In addition, some people are getting the Microsoft message that Office needs to be updated... 🤷🏻♀️ Or is it due to the student accounts, because I have the MacBooks in question running (except No. 4)

The MacBooks seem to be running again. There was probably an unsuccessful setting of user permissions for the home directories.

The problem is probably not with the MacBooks at all, but is a lack of user access rights to the macOS user folder on the server.
The rights have all been repaired today. Hopefully it should work again now.

Hi Myrna, the BENSE technician was there on Friday. Unfortunately, he was also not aware of a method to solve this problem.
The file system is probably corrupt. The last time we had this error on the iMacs, they had to be completely rebuilt. In the case of old MacBooks, this requires a lot of effort because all automated processes on the old devices are no longer effective. In other words, it's going to take time...
I'll watch it tomorrow.
